Fibre Council Europe was represented at Network X 2026 by Vincent Garnier, Director General, and Jon Baldry, Chair of the Data Centre & Data Centre Interconnection Committee.
On 13 October, Vincent Garnier delivered the session "Europe's Fibre Transition in the Digital Networks Era", addressing the implications of the EU Digital Networks Act and sharing Fibre Council Europe's perspective on this key development for Europe's telecommunications sector.
On 14 October, Jon Baldry delivered the session "Industry Association Address: Understanding the AI Supercycle from a European Perspective", exploring how data centre growth driven by AI is reshaping demand for fibre infrastructure, the emerging opportunities for fibre owners, and Fibre Council Europe's role in supporting the development of Europe's data centre and interconnection ecosystem.
