FTTH Council Europe is now
Fibre Council Europe

A new name, a new identity, and a broader mission. Built on more than two decades of championing fibre connectivity.

Powering Europe's digital future

After more than two decades of championing fibre to the home, our mission has grown. Fibre Council Europe represents the full fibre ecosystem — fixed and mobile connectivity, data centres and digital services — united behind one goal: a fully fibred, future-proof Europe.

The story behind our new brand

Why we rebranded

Fibre to the home is where the Council's journey began; it no longer defines the full extent of the fibre industry's work or ambition. Across Europe, fibre infrastructure now underpins the continent's digital future: extending backhaul networks, connecting data centres, and delivering high-capacity connectivity to homes and businesses. This infrastructure will help determine how quickly Europe's digital economy grows and innovates.

The Council's committees, research, reporting and advocacy have already evolved to reflect this broader reality. Its name now evolves with them.

Fibre Council Europe represents the full fibre ecosystem: fixed connectivity, the fibre infrastructure that powers mobile networks, data centres, and the digital services on which citizens, businesses and public institutions depend.

An evolution, not a departure

Observed closely, the new symbol reveals three arches emerging from the fibre strands of the previous logo. The same DNA remains, expressed with greater movement, energy and ambition.

The Council itself is equally continuous. Its governance, membership and activities carry forward under the new name, while its mission expands: existing workstreams will evolve, and new ones will arise in areas such as data centres and the HFC to FTTH transition.

What the new identity reflects

  • A broader scope. From fibre to the home to the full fibre ecosystem — fixed connectivity, data centres, and digital services.
  • Continuity of purpose. The same Council, the same community, the same commitment to a fully fibred, future-proof Europe.
  • A forward-looking identity. Our new symbol, the three arches, has evolved and represents connection, progression and openness, carried by a fresh, modern visual language.

One Brand Family:
The FTTH Conference Becomes Fibre Horizons

Our rebrand doesn't stop with the Council. Our flagship event, the largest gathering of the fibre community in Europe, is also taking on a new name: Fibre Horizons.

The two identities are designed as a family. Fibre Council Europe is the parent brand: the association, the community, the year-round voice of the fibre ecosystem. Fibre Horizons is where that community comes together; the annual stage where the ecosystem meets, debates and does business.

Like the Council's new name, the conference rebrand follows the expansion of our scope. Fibre Horizons will bring the full breadth of the ecosystem onto one stage — operators and altnets alongside mobile, data centre and digital service players.

The first edition of Fibre Horizons will take place on 17-18 March at Allianz MiCo, Milan.

"This is an evolution, not a departure. Everything our members and partners value about the Council - our advocacy, our research, our community - carries forward under the new name and the expanded scope. What changes is that our identity now reflects the breadth of the fibre ecosystem we represent."

Director General of the Fibre Council Europe
